Matthieu CALONI began his career with the LVMH group where, from 1998 to 2006, he successively held several positions within the Wine & Spirits division, including that of head of the Dom Pérignon brand in Japan.
In 2006, he joined The Boston Consulting Group, a consultancy, where he was appointed Principal in 2010. Over the course of many assignments, he advised consumer goods and retailing companies on growth, strategy and organization topics.
In 2014, he returned to corporate positions at THOM Europe, a leading jewellery retailer in France and in Europe belonging to private equity fund Bridgepoint and Apax Partners. As Vice President Strategy & Development, he was responsible for several aspects of the business including corporate development and stores opening.
In April 2016, he joined the Galeries Lafayette Group as Director of Strategy and Transformation of the Department Stores branch. He extended his responsibilities to the whole group as of July 2017, reason for which he is the General Manager of Lafayette Plug and Play, the accelerator sponsored by the Group.
