VP of Global Industry Segments, UPS
As Vice President of Global Industry Segments, Matt leads a team that facilitates growth across the global market through industry segmentation strategies. He is responsible for understanding the unique needs of customers globally and aligning configurable solutions that enable customers to grow their business.
Matt has spent the last 18 years with UPS working in marketing, sales, and operations. He led a team managing our International portfolio of services and solutions that enhance the customer value proposition. Matt has managed a team of sales resources in multiple states, implementing strategies that enabled export growth for UPS customers. His focus has been on managing customer behaviors that directly impact revenue and profit within targeted industries. His integrated experience between sales, marketing, and operations provides customers the opportunity to think globally.
He started as a marketing specialist in Illinois and has since worked all over the country. Matt has worked in eight different states and nine different countries, managing sales and marketing teams that provide a consultative approach within targeted industry verticals.
Matt gained a global marketing perspective while working in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Nordics. He led the growth efforts and fashioned the UPS value proposition within targeted industry verticals to enable growth for small, medium, and global companies. Matt supported the creation of the UPS communication strategies to boost SMEs in exporting, drive customer experience, and increase our share of voice in the European market.
Now as the Vice President of Global Industry Segments, he creates global solutions that streamline supply chains for UPS customers in high tech, automotive, professional services, and the industrial product verticals.
Matt received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Millikin University.
