Matt Tumbleson is the founder & CEO of Teckst, a New York City-based startup that’s transforming how companies and customers communicate.
Teckst’s revolutionary platform enables two-way, conversational text and mobile messaging for all areas of the customer journey, from asking about a product to checking in on an order status. Teckst natively integrates with the world’s top CRMs such as Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and Zendesk.
Prior to Teckst, Matt was the first Creative Director of Seamless/GrubHub. He launched the consumer brand Seamless in 2011 before his role expanded to include the entire customer journey from acquisition to customer care. After merging with GrubHub, Matt helped plan and execute the joined company’s IPO in October 2014 as $GRUB. Now the national’s fastest-growing technology company, GrubHub continues to prove that age-old ways of doing things, like calling restaurants to order takeout, are a thing of the past.
Matt’s unique, highly successful approach to developing agency- and consultant-quality teams internally at Seamless/GrubHub led to many opportunities to help drive innovation with major brands such as HBO, NBC, Netflix, L’Oréal, Google, Twitter, Facebook, Bank of America, Adidas, and Visa.
Before Seamless, Matt worked for Minds In Sync, a product development agency. He also worked at The Miami Herald and the City of Miami Beach, where he held creative director-level titles. Matt speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Outside of Teckst, he continues to consult for many global brands seeking to transform their customer experiences to a mobile-first world. He also mentors early-stage startups and founders.
