Prior to his role at MATCHESFASHION.COM, Ulric co-founded PIXmania.com in 2000. As Executive Director of the company, Ulric was instrumental in the growth of Pixmania.com from a start-up company to a business with 1,400 employees, 10 million customers, 21 high street stores and revenues of over €897 million in 26 countries across Europe. A pioneer in e-commerce, Pixmania.com became one of the leading online retailers in Europe. In 2012 Ulric and his partners left the company having sold their total stake to Dixons plc.
While managing Pixmania, Ulric was Vice President of FEVAD, the French Federation of e-commerce and Vice President of E-Commerce Europe, the lobbying body in charge of defending the interests of the e-commerce industry at the European commission, parliament and council. In addition he has been an active member of IMRG (UK e-commerce federation) and Shop.org (US e-commerce federation).
Ulric also serves on the board of Paddy Power Plc as a Non-Executive Director. Paddy Power plc is one of the leading international betting and gaming company. Ulric has also been ranked as one of the most influential internet players globally by Retail Week (Etail Power List 2010) and Retailinsider.com (100 Movers and Shakers).
Ulric joined MATCHESFASHION.COM in 2013 as COO and partner, improving operations to accommodate its tremendous growth. He helped build a best-in-class e-commerce team and ensured that all customer touch points fulfilled the company vision of being the best experience in modern luxury shopping. This culminated in a complete tech overhaul of the business and launch of a new fully responsive site in April 2015, further enabling the business to realise its future growth aspirations. In 2015 he was appointed as CEO which was a very natural evolution.
