CEO, Sur La Table
Billy May is CEO and board member at Sur La Table, a national cooking and culinary retailer. Previously, Billy was Senior Vice President - Marketing, eCommerce, and Corporate Development at Abercrombie and Fitch. In his role, Billy was a member of the executive leadership team with global responsibility for the company’s online businesses, digital and customer marketing, omnichannel strategy, and new growth initiatives.
Prior to joining ANF, he was Vice President and General Manager of Global ecommerce at adidas Group and held digital and business leadership roles with Sears Holdings and Lowe’s Companies. He’s a fourth generation retailer who started his career as a management trainee and buyer within the May Department Stores Company.
Billy serves as Vice Chair and member of the Board of Directors of Shop.org, the digital division of the National Retail Federation (NRF). He also serves as an outside advisor at Beanstalk Ventures and on the Advisory Board for the Mead Endowment at the University of Virginia. Billy received his BA with Distinction from the University of Virginia and a MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, where he served as class President.
